Netflix Announces Live Action Avatar Kyoshi Cast!

 Live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the upcoming Netflix series that adapts the popular animation of the same name from Nickelodeon which was released in 2005 ago. Although the live action plot is still not revealed, if you refer to the original animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender will tell the story of the adventures of a young Avatar named Aang who must maintain the harmony of the universe by stopping the Fire Nation from colonizing other countries when he disappeared.


Since a few weeks ago, the Avatar: The Last Airbender series has started shooting in the United States with the main cast, such as Gordon Cormier as Avatar Aang, Kiawentiio Tarbell as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, and Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko. In addition to the main cast, the series, written by Albert Kim, also stars Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh, Lim Kay Siu as teacher Gyatso, and Ken Leung as Admiral Zhao.


Following the previous actors, recently, five new actors have been confirmed to join the Avatar: The Last Airbender series,  including the Avatar Kyoshi cast. They are Yvonne Chapman as Kyoshi, Elizabeth Yu as Zuko's evil sister named Azula, Maria Zhang as the leader of the Kyoshi Warrior named Suki, Tamlyn Tomita as Suki's mother named Yukari, and Casey Camp-Horinek as Katara and Soka's grandmother named Gran Gran. .


In the original animated series, Kyoshi, Azula, Suki, Yukari, and Gran Gran first appeared in Season 1 which was released in 2005. And of the five characters, Kyoshi is the one with the biggest role in Season 1, he is the first Avatar spirit. times guiding Aang as he began his journey as the Avatar. Kyoshi herself is an Earth Kingdom woman who became the Avatar after Avatar Kuruk of the Northern Water Tribe, and before Avatar Roku of the Fire Nation. He died at the age of 230, making him the oldest human and Avatar in the universe.


With the announcement of these five new actors, it is likely that the live action series Avatar: The Last Airbender will take the same story direction as the animated Season 1.
