The 94th Oscar nominations are in! This year, actress Tracee Ellis Ross and actor Leslie Jordan announced the nominations online. The 2022 Oscars ceremony will be hung on March 27.
The Power of the Dog leads with 12 nods followed by means of Dune with 10 nominations. Among this year’s extraordinary nomination are Drive My Car for Best Picture—the primary Japanese movie to be nominated in the top class and Luana: A Yak in the Classroom, a historical nomination for Bhutan. CODA’s nominations in Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Troy Kotsur is the first male deaf actor to earn a nod) and Best Adapted Screenplay also signalled a win for the deaf community. Jane Campion additionally becomes the primary female to be nominated for Best Director twice whilst Denzel Washington breaks his own document because the maximum nominated Black actor.
