Chelsea will break the record for the biggest spending in a single transfer window this summer. Currently they have spent 195 million pounds, or approximately Rp3, 5 trillion, and they are still eyeing three more players.
Chelsea 's new owner , Todd Boehly has ambitions to continue Roman Abramovich's baton. The Blues will sign Cesare Casadei from Inter Milan for £17m, which brings the total spending to £195m.
The signings are unlikely to stop anytime soon as Thomas Tuchel is looking to add another centre-back. The player in question is Wesley Fofana of Leicester City.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also still chasing the signatures of Frenkie de Jong and Anthony Gordon. If the trio join forces, Chelsea's transfer spending could increase to £392m, breaking Real Madrid's 2019 summer record of £270m.
The following Bola.com details the new players and prospective Chelsea recruits in the 2022 summer transfer market:
Gabriel Slonina - £8.1 Million
American goalkeeper Slonina is Chelsea 's third signing of the summer after Sterling and Koulibaly. The 18-year-old goalkeeper was bought from Major League Soccer (MLS) club Chicago Fire for an estimated £8.1 million.
However, he will not be at Stamford Bridge this season as he is loaned back to the Chicago Fire where he can gain more playing time and experience.
After Slonina, Chelsea re-signed a young player, Carney Chukwuemeka. He was brought from Aston Villa.
Chelsea recruited Chukwuemeka with a net fund of £ 16.2 million plus bonuses which if the total reached £ 20 million. Unlike Slonina, Chukwuemeka may be able to make his debut because he is not on loan.
Marc Cucurella - £58.7 million
Spain left-back Marc Cucurella is the latest signing at Stamford Bridge. After weeks of speculation, the Blues beat Manchester City for the ex-Brighton man's signature.
Chelsea paid Brighton £58.7m for Cucurella, a record fee received by the Seagulls. He is also Chelsea's most expensive signing this summer.
Sterling is Chelsea's first signing of the summer of 2022, joining the club from for £50.5 million. Hailed as one of England's best wingers, he scored 131 goals and provided 95 assists in 339 games in all competitions for City.
The 27-year-old is primarily a left winger but can also play as a main striker if needed. He played the full 90 minutes against Everton.
Kalidou Koulibaly - £34.2 million
Chelsea lost centre-backs Antonio Ridiger and Andreas Christensen to Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively, on free transfers earlier in the summer. Chelsea are in the market to land a reliable defender and sign Koulibaly from Napoli.
Considering the experience and quality of the Senegal international, a fee of £34.2m doesn't seem like much. He could be an important presence in the club's back line for many years to come.
New Recruit Candidates
The midfielder will be Chelsea's latest signing after the Blues agreed a fee with Inter. Casadei is considered the jewel of the Nerazzurri youth team and like Chukwuemeka, he could join the Chelsea Under-23s.
Leicester rejected two offers from Chelsea for Wesley Fofana with the latter believed to be worth £70m. Fofana has reportedly applied to leave but the Foxes are holding out for £85m.
Chelsea want to snatch De Jong from Manchester United. Funds amounting to £ 68 million prepared.
Chelsea made bids worth £40m and £45m, but Everton value the winger at £50m.
