The new Cyberpunk: Edgerunners trailer promises non-stop frenetic NSFW action. Netflix's upcoming 10-episode Japanese anime series follows David Martinez (Kenichiro Ohashi), a young man from the streets of Arroyo, Santo Domingo, who tries to survive in the dystopian metropolis known as Night City. Accompanied by Lucy (Aoi Yûki), a Netrunner, David becomes a criminal mercenary, also known as a cyberpunk. Rafał Jaki is the showrunner for the series, which is being produced by Studio Trigger (Little Witch Academia, Promare) with Kill la Kill's Hiroyuki Imaishi directing.
Netflix recently released a new trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. After a brief argument in which Lucy asks David about his dream, the flashy frantic trailer promises intense bloody cyberpunk action with David declaring, "You either lose your mind or you die, nothing in between." The trailer features images of violence and severe nudity in a kaleidoscopic video of gore and cyber. Check out the immersive and gory trailer below.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a spin-off of the controversial but popular action role-playing video game Cyberpunk 2077 from Polish video game developer CD Projekt Red, creators of the acclaimed The Witcher series. The sci-fi game puts the player in the body of a fully customizable player named V, who becomes embroiled in a twisting story of deception as he explores the depths of the underworld of Night City, an open world adapted from Mike Pondsmith's Cyberpunk. from 1988. Tabletop RPG. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners looks like a spirited and well-animated adaptation so far, and it will be interesting to see what longtime fans have to say when it hits Netflix.
