Yamaha racer Franco Morbidelli recorded the best report card after the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP with his 11th start at the San Marino 2022 MotoGP at the Misano Circuit, Sunday (4/9).
Morbidelli competes in the race for the San Marino MotoGP pole position by reaching the second or Q2 qualification, Saturday (3/9).
The 27-year-old racer went to the San Marino MotoGP Q2 after sixth fastest in third free practice (FP3).
However, after the Mandalika MotoGP, the former Petronas racer experienced a decline and never again reached Q2 before the San Marino MotoGP.
Franco Morbideli's best start after the Mandalika MotoGP was in 15th position in the Argentine MotoGP.
With a start in 11th position in the MotoGP San Marino 2022, it is Franco Morbidelli's best start in MotoGP 2022.
This season Morbidelli still needs to fight hard to be the best. The Italian racer has never been on the podium. Despite always starting from outside the top 10, Morbidelli's best finish in the 2022 season was seventh in the Mandalika MotoGP.
